Bold, Beautiful and Super: The Her Universe Fashion Show
One of the reasons why I love the San Diego Comic-Con is the annual celebration of geek couture at the Her Universe Fashion Show. Returning for it's 3rd year, it seems each year get's better and better. The format since the start has involved two dozen designers competing for fashion glory and a chance to launch their own female line with Hot Topics. Last year's winner produced a Star Wars The Force Awaken inspired collection of dresses and outerwear. As one of my favorite events at Comic-Con, this year's show did not disappoint. The winners included concepts from Mad Max: Fury Road, Wall-E, Harry Potter, and The Never Ending Story. All in all, it was an inspirational night where fandom and creativity was celebrated. We now look forward to what the winners will design with Her Universe and Hot Topic.

We’ll begin with the design process now and we’ll unveil their fully realized, complete fashion collection for sale in spring of 2017!”
