Not sure what the weather's like in your neck of the woods, but here in So. Cal, it's expected to be in the high 90's in the beginning of September. The thought of wearing a coat or sweater seems crazy.
Since the glory days of summer are behind us, the itch for fall and fall clothes on the horizen. Before we know it, nights will be cooler. Leaves will be plentiful on the ground. Jackets will make their way to the front of the closet.
If there's one piece of clothing that can perfectly transition us from summer to fall, it'd be a pair of pants. Khaki pants. Particularly, khaki corduroys.
Sounds weird. I know.
Some people haven't worn corduroy since their Christmas play in elementary school or a family portrait at JCPenny.
But these pants are the perfect transition from post-summer to fall. Why? They go with anything you're wearing in summer right now, and they'll go with anything you'll pull for fall.
If you're not ready to fall back on corduroy, you can go with a thicker khaki denim. Remember, it's the incremental, small changes that make a big difference.
So long, summer! Hello fall...in like three weeks.
