Hero Within and Catherine Elhoffer
If you are a geek girl and have been anywhere near the internet then you will have heard of Catherine Elhoffer of Elhoffer Design. She is an independent designer and a one woman force of nature for fashion. She was recently featured in Blastr about her journey into fandom fashion. Her origin story includes design school, Her Universe, We Love Fine and more. Her hand-made and 'inspired by' designs have exploded in popularity with fangirls of Marvel, Star Wars, Hamilton and much more. Catherine and Hero Within shares a similar philosophy when it comes to geek fashion which is why I thought this would be a perfect time to have a conversation together. While she certainly has more experience in the fashion arena than myself, we are both long time content creators and I am really looking forward to picking her brain. This Friday night, we'll be recording a podcast and interviewing each other about our origins, fashion, fandom, San Diego Comic-Con and a bunch of other random stuff.
