Cress Williams Cast As Black Lightning
Earlier this month, it was announced that the CW has ordered a pilot for DC Comics' Black Lightning. The electrified origin story is about a reluctant hero, Jefferson Pierce, coming out of super retirement to fight urban crime again for his daughter. Hart of Dixie alum Cress Williams will return to the CW as the lead in this latest Greg Berlanti addition. As one of DC Comics first African American heroes (Created by Tony Isabella with Trevor Von Eeden), Black Lightning will no doubt join the robust CW super-family of Flash, Arrow and Supergirl.
