Shipping Through Uncertain Times
If there’s one thing we’ve learned over the years at Hero Within, it’s that making our jackets is only half the journey. Getting them from our factories to your doorstep can be an adventure of its own. During the Pandemic, we moved our main factories from Asian because of high tariffs and moved to production in Pakistan. Right now, shipping out of the region surrounding Iran has become particularly challenging.
The conflict with Iran is not over, and there is still a great deal of instability throughout the region. Shipping routes that were once predictable can change quickly, and that uncertainty has created some real challenges for our production and fulfillment process. Commercial shipping traffic through the region continues to operate below normal levels, while companies and governments work to find alternative routes.
Why Does This Affect Hero Within?
Many of our longtime manufacturing partners are located in Pakistan, which means our products can be affected by the transportation and logistics challenges happening throughout the region. Sometimes a shipment makes it out quickly and everything goes exactly as planned. Other times… it doesn't. Customs processing can take significantly longer than we're accustomed to. Costs have increased. Routes can change. And unfortunately, we have even had packages go missing along the way.
For a small company like ours, that's incredibly frustrating. We know how exciting it is to place an order and start waiting for your jacket to arrive. The last thing we want is for your order to get caught sitting in a warehouse, waiting for customs, or delayed because a shipping route suddenly becomes unavailable.
We're Adapting
We're actively working with our manufacturing and shipping partners to find faster and more reliable routes whenever possible. We've already started rerouting shipments when better options are available. But with the current instability, there are no guarantees. A route that works today may not be the best option tomorrow. Even Pakistan's own government has been working to address delays and improve the predictability of customs clearance and transit times, highlighting the challenges businesses are currently facing in the region. So we're learning to adapt. We're adjusting our shipping strategies, communicating more closely with our partners, and doing everything we can to keep orders moving.
The New Normal
We wish we could give you an exact delivery date and guarantee that every shipment will arrive on schedule. Right now, we simply can't. The reality is that international logistics have become more unpredictable, and some delays are outside of our control. We're doing our best to navigate those challenges while continuing to make the products you've been waiting for. We've been through difficult times before, and we've learned that the best thing we can do is keep moving forward, find solutions, and adapt.
Like every world crisis we've faced, we will overcome this one too.
