Marvel Studios’ first Oscar winner!

At last night's 91st Academy Awards, Black Panther
won three Oscars—the first time ever for Marvel Studios! However it was a truly historic event on even more levels. Ruth Carter
(right) won for Best Costume Design, becoming the first African American woman to win in the category. Then in a one-two punch, she was followed by Hannah Beachler (left), who won for Best Production Design! Beachler was not only the first woman of color to win in that category, she was also the first to be nominated. Black Panther added to it's stellar evening with Best Original Score. Congratulations to Marvel Entertainment for an epic night and for helping usher a new era in pop culture.
